Spirit Bowl 2006

Yes we did it! We won the Spirit Bowl. Hana's division took the Silver but, her team as a whole won the 4 foot trophy for the best of the best in Spirit. She was so proud of herself. Go Fighting Irish!!!

The Snell's Home

What a weekend! Thanks to my brother Karl, we moved all of our belongings into our house in just a couple of days. The house finally looks as though someone is living in it. Although, it is just Wayne for now. The girls and I are going through a rough transition without him. However, we will be fine. As everyone knows, we are a bunch of tough cookies . It has been quite crazy. We are literally living out of boxes in New Orleans. And our daily schedule is more hectic than ever. Hana is our social butterfly. She was chosen for the All Star team for cheerleading and will be competing in the Spirit Bowl in just a couple of weeks. Her practices are usually four times a week and tends to run two to four hours long. She is still dancing twice a week as well. Now add school on top of that. It seems as though she has a busier schedule than Wayne and I put together. She absolutely loves it though and would not change a thing. Alaia, on the other hand, is Hana's biggest supporter. She attends most of her practices and games that Hana cheers for and will cheer Hana on. She loves watching her big sister in action and thinks she's great but, Alaia will always be our little wall flower. Clea is a clone of Hana. She is also very social. She will go up to anyone just to say hello. She loves the attention. She follows both her sisters everywhere they go and wants to do everything that they do. And, she is already into purses. Boy, do we have trouble! Anyway, we hope everyone is doing great. We will send more pics of the girls as soon as we get them. In the meantime, enjoy some of our house. We are so proud of it.
The kitchen, dining room, and living room all flow into one open space. It is great for entertaining, which I love to do.
This is the same as the above except taken from the living room.
My lovely living room with all of my moms furniture which I talked her out of.
Wayne and Carolyn's bedroom. After three children, this is where the magic will never happen again. You all know that I am kidding, right?
Our media room/playroom/guestroom. Hope to see some of you here soon.
The pool room. Yes, that red wall will be painted over.
Hana's room. She is so excited not having to share her room with her little sister.
Alaia's room. She, on the otherhand, does not want her own room. Alaia loves sneaking into Hana's bed and cuddling with her in the middle of the night.
Clea, as you can see, made herself quite comfortable.

This is the lookout point located in the center of the subdivision. There is a hill that you can climb up to see the entire neighborhood.
This is the walking trail that goes throughout the subdivision.
Our house is the one in the middle. This pic was actually taken from the school parking lot. This is where the girls will be attending elementary school. No more rushing to carpool. I love it.
Our humble abode.

The girls elementary school.
This is the playground right outside our door. A newer bigger one is being built directly behind it. What a convenience! There are also two swimming pools located in the community. It is perfect for us and the girls cannot wait.

AND LIFE MOVES ON

Well people, we did it. We are finally making our move. For those of you who haven't heard yet, we bought a house in Dallas. Well, actually it's in Frisco, which is a newer area just North of Dallas and we absolutely love it. Everything is brand new and at hands reach. Perfect for this spoiled city girl! There is so much for the kids to do as well. It's almost like the city was built around children. We cannot wait for visitors. Well, not just yet though. Wayne will be leaving in early October and the girls and I will ride out New Orleans this last school year. I still have emotional ties to the area but, I am physically and mentally drained from it at the same time. As for my brother, Karl is seriously inquiring about Denver. If you know my brother, then you know how much of a mountain man he wants to become. I think it will do him so good. Anywhere but here. Same goes for my parents. We are still trying to talk them into moving out by us. Like I said, I would be happy for them to be anywhere but here. Wayne's side of the family however, have no plans on leaving just yet. They do have it on their minds but some still love the city. Anyway, check out some of our latest pics. We Love You All.

Alaia's first day of Pre-Kindergarten and loving it. I don't know how it works but, the teachers rave about her in school. "She's an Angel", "She was a pleasure today", and "She was perfect" is all we hear them say. THEN, she comes home to mommy and daddy and we don't know where the halo goes. Overall, she is an extremely sweet girl. We oh so love our Alaia.
Alaia in Pre-K and Hana in 2nd grade.
Ba's sweet angel. She is so in love with this baby. Mainly because the other two are too old now to cuddle with. And, Clea does have her wrapped around her finger. When she calls out "Ba", Ba does indeed melt.

Hana is 7 years old now. She is loving her 5th year of dance and is ecstatic about being a cheerleader this year. She will be cheering at football games. We cannot wait to see her on the go.
Everyone knows Poppy loves his girls. Clea is Poppy's tail right now. She follows him everywhere he goes and throws a fit if he goes outside without her. Alaia is Poppy's buddy. I think that she may be his favorite as well. But, he won't admit it. Poppy and Alaia love eating their Pho together. And watch out with disciplining her in front of him. He will blow a fuse. Hana on the otherhand, is Poppy's princess. She is perfect in his eyes. Everything she does is #1 in Poppy's Book. Whee! Clea seems to get into everything. This child began walking at 91/2 months. We could not slow her down. We wish we could but, that didn't happen. She is precious in our eyes regardless.

It is heart warming to know that we have such wonderful people in our lives who care for us so much. Thank you all once again. In the meantime, here are some recent photos we would like to share with you. We hope everyone is having a great summer. Love to all.
